drawing with stitch

A fellow textile exhibitor at Art in Action....Roanna Wells. She works with tiny little seed like stitches leaving seemingly random patterns - look out for her unpicked embroideries which have been shortlisted for the Jerwood drawing prize.

hundreds and thousands.....

Saw some new work by artist Steven Emmanuel last week at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland. I particularly liked this piece called 'Separating the Hundreds from the Thousands'.

I have a similar beaker to the rose one - simple Swedish style! More examples of Karin's work here

winter samples

Worked on some new samples this week. The honesty seeds worked really well - very transparent printed on wild silk.
